Privacy Policy.

How BECOME handles app account and training data.

Who we are

BECOME is operated by Become Personal Training (KvK 81026358), Cornelis Schuytstraat 57, 1071 JG Amsterdam. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

In short

We collect only what we need to run your training and your account.

Our servers and your video content are hosted in the European Union.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

You can access, correct, export and delete your data. Account deletion is built into the app.

What we collect, and why

Account and identity — your name, email address, and optionally date of birth and city. We use these to create and secure your account, sign you in, send essential account emails such as confirmation and password reset messages, and personalise the app. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.

Training data — workouts, exercises, sets, weights, reps, personal records, notes, and the days you mark as trained or rested. This powers your history, progress charts, streaks and program tracking. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.

Health-adjacent data — if you apply for coaching or a personal program, you may share your body weight, height, training history, injuries or physical limitations, and your goals. Some of this can reveal information about your health. We use it only to assess and deliver the service you ask for. Legal basis: your consent, and performance of the coaching service.

Usage data — total sessions, streaks, training days and app opens. We use this to show milestones and rewards. Legal basis: legitimate interest and performance of our contract with you.

Technical data — push token if enabled, session tokens stored on your device, and IP/request logs handled by our hosting provider. Legal basis: your consent for notifications and our legitimate interest in security and operation.

Sensitive information

Body measurements, injuries and physical limitations can say something about your health. We ask for these only when you choose to apply for coaching or a personal program, and we process them on the basis of your explicit consent and to provide that service.

Please do not enter medical diagnoses or other sensitive details in free-text note fields. Notes you write on workouts, and information you submit in a coaching application, are readable by our staff and coaches so they can support you.

Who processes your data

We keep your data within a small set of service providers who process it on our instructions:

Supabase, European Union — hosts our database, handles sign-in and account emails. All of your account and training data lives here.

Bunny Stream, European Union — delivers exercise videos to your device. It serves content to you; it does not receive your personal data.

Push notifications, Apple, Google or Expo — only if you enable notifications. This is not active yet.

Product analytics, PostHog EU — opt-in, off by default and not active yet.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.

Where your data is held

Your account, training and coaching data, and your videos, are hosted in the European Union.

A few non-personal resources such as fonts may load from outside the EU. If we enable product analytics, we use its EU hosting so your data stays in the EU.

How long we keep it

We keep your personal data for as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, your data is removed.

We may keep limited records for as long as the law requires, for example for tax or to handle disputes.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or restrict the use of your data, and you can object to certain processing.

Delete — you can permanently delete your account and its data from inside the app, under Profile → Delete account. This removes your profile, your training history, and any coaching application you submitted.

Export — to receive a copy of your data, email us at Become.Amsterdam@gmail.com and we will provide it.

You can withdraw consent where we rely on consent. You also have the right to complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority or your local data protection authority.

Children

BECOME is not intended for children under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we make a material change, we will update the version and ask you to review and accept the new policy in the app.
